Toyota is well-known for making vehicles that are not only reliable but also efficient, and the 2025 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid is no different. Continue reading to learn how Toyota has taken this efficiency to the next level with the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid’s three trims.

2025 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid

SE

The Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid comes equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with dual electric motors powered by a 13.6-kWh battery pack that delivers 220 horsepower combined. The base SE trim features a well-rounded selection of amenities, such as six-way adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel, and single-zone automatic climate control.

All levels of the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid come with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which is a suite of innovative driver-assist safety technologies. This suite includes a forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and a lane-centering system. All levels also come standard with the Star Safety System, which includes traction control, an anti-lock brake system, and brake assist.

XSE

The XSE trim brings more convenience features and a touch of luxury to the lineup by way of keyless entry for the front doors and rear hatch, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. A wireless phone charging pad ensures you will never have to worry about your phone dying. Additionally, the XSE trim comes standard with front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking.

Toyota offers a few optional techy upgrades for the XSE trim. If you think the standard 8-inch infotainment touchscreen is too small, you can opt for the 12.3-inch version. Another handy upgrade comes in the form of Digital Key capability, which allows you to use your smartphone as a key instead of a physical key. This feature requires a subscription to Toyota Remote Connect services.

XSE Premium

The final trim in the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid lineup further steps up the luxury with premium features such as a fixed glass roof and a hands-free power liftback. Inside the XSE Premium, both front seats are ventilated, and the driver’s seat acquires memory settings. Technology includes a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, an eight-speaker JBL sound system, and Digital Key capability.

A technology package is offered for the XSE Premium that adds some extra safety features. An automated parking system will gently steer the vehicle into a parking spot. A 360-degree parking camera gives you a bird’s-eye view of your vehicle and the area immediately surrounding it, making navigating narrow parking spaces much easier.
